Academic Year 2009
The Kalmanovitz School of Education (KSOE) invites applications and nominations for a tenure track faculty position at either the Associate Professor/Professor level. As Program Director, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future of the Educational Leadership Programs, which include a Tier 1 Preliminary Administrative Credential, a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. To be successful in the position, the candidate must be knowledgeable about and experienced in best practices in educational leadership and maintain an active scholarly agenda related to the field.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Earned Doctorate in educational leadership/administration or a related area.
• Excellent teaching skills; evidence of scholarly achievement and professional accomplishment commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor/Professor, along with service to the profession.
• Successful experience as a K-12 administrator, preferably in California.
• Knowledge of current program models in the field of educational leadership.
• Experience with strategic planning and curriculum development.
• Familiarity with California Standards for the Tier I Preliminary Administrative Services Credential, the California Accreditation system, and the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and culturally diverse campus environment.
• Commitment to the mission of Saint Mary's College of California and its Catholic, Lasallian and Liberal Arts Traditions.
