Description & Requirement The Information Technology (IT) program in the School of Science and Computer Engineering (SCE) at the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2012, or earlier. A Ph.D. in IT or a closely related field such as IS, CIS, or CS at the time of hire is required. The candidate will lead the development of the Bachelor of Applied Science degree program in IT. A commitment to excellence in teaching and program development, along with the ability to conduct effective research are expected. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. All specialty areas will be considered. The SCE at UHCL incorporates many other programs including Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering and Computer Engineering. The IT program offers the Bachelor of Applied Science degree. Applications submitted before March 15, 2012 will be given special consideration.
