Description & Requirement The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for the position of Application Specialist. Primary responsibility is to provide application support for the campus commerce management system, Blackboard. Support will include installation, configuration and maintenance of applications and associated devices, including hand helds and point of sale terminals. Works in conjunction with departments and vendors to trouble-shoot technical problems or application bugs. Provides end-user and after hours support as needed. Collaborates with co-workers to provide back-up support for other campus applications. Qualifications: The minimum education and experience required is a Bachelor’s Degree and two years or Master’s Degree and one year of experience in a computer related position using SQL and relational databases and in the installation and configuration of enterprise client-server software applications. Salary is dependent on education and experience; $45,000-$59,699. This is an Administrative faculty position.
