Postdoctoral Position in Homogeneous Catalysis at van ‘t Hoff Institute for Molecular Sciences, University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Applications are welcome for a postdoctoral position in the group of Supramolecular & Homogeneous Catalysis (directed by prof. Reek). The particular theme of the available postdoctoral position, which is funded by a private-public consortium, is around the late transition metal catalyzed asymmetric hydroamination of biorenewables. Specific details are available upon request. Areas to be covered include organic synthesis (phosphorus chemistry), coordination chemistry and/or homogeneous catalysis. Ligand and complex synthesis and catalyst screening should be combined. Independent and creative working attitude expected. The lab-facilities are of excellent modern standards in a brand new building. The successful, eager applicants (M/F) should hold a PhD. degree in Chemistry with significant experience, suitable skills and a keen interest in high-level research in a friendly, competitive environment. Good knowledge of English is required. Initial appointment is for 1 year with possible extension upon positive evaluation. Salaries and benefits are of high standards. Private funding is highly appreciated and recommended. Starting date is as soon as possible.
