About Fashion Institute of Technology:
The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), an internationally renowned college of art and design, business and technology of the State University of New York, invites applications invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor – Fashion Design - Apparel.

Job Description:
Individuals appointed will teach Fashion Design Art courses from basic fashion sketching to more advance portfolio classes as well as managing and assessing student performance and submission of grades in a timely manner.

Requirements:
Candidates must have earned at least an Associate Degree, and must have a minimum of six (6) years working experience as a Fashion Artist or Fashion Designer in the domestic or global markets. In reviewing applicants, great emphasis will be placed on those candidates whose portfolios demonstrate outstanding drawing skills and rendering techniques in women’s designs and collections. College level teaching experience, as well as flats and specs and strong computer skills are preferred. Candidates must also have excellent communication and organizational skills; a commitment to quality education and student-centeredness; and the ability to work with a diverse student population and be part of a collaborative team.
